Volunteering Opportunities

Why Volunteer?

The support Springhill’s volunteers provide is vital, they allow us to keep our doors open 365 days a year through their selfless support in everything we do.

Our volunteers are involved in a range of areas and roles including receptionists or gardeners, general volunteers or bereavement support members, drivers, shop volunteers or fundraising team support members.

Here at Springhill we welcome volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you want to help the Hospice on a regular basis or as a one off at our fundraising events we have something to suit everyone and would love your support!

Our volunteers are from a wide range of backgrounds and of various ages.  They do, however, have one thing in common – they all want to ‘give something back’  and in doing so, each volunteer brings their own unique qualities and skills to the Hospice.

It is very important to us that our volunteers benefit from their volunteering, as well as the Hospice and our Community benefitting from them giving freely of their time.  An induction is held for new volunteers and a range of ongoing training sessions are held for volunteers to enable them to enhance their skills and work effectively within the Hospice environment.
